It is closer to melodic black, I'd say, with some depressive black influences.

Surprisingly melodic and emotional, considering their previous material.

Plenty of melodic breakdowns and even acoustic parts, somewhat atmospheric and cosmic.

Interesting and not bad although nothing striking for me.
