I think of all related things it is closer to symphonic black. Somewhat too fast for epic black and doesn't feel like atmospheric black but rich enough with keys to be not just melodic black.
It has pretty cool kicking moments with bright melodies and catchy riffs but unfortunately for me they don't add up into a connected complete songs.
Still, probably, worth to check out.
