I think, Sentenced is on the list of my earliest metal experiences (this album wasn't the first one but that story is for another time). And I still enjoy it.
Gothic metal will do, I guess, but it leans towards something simpler and softer like heavy metal or even hard rock.
Very catchy and easily memorable, especially vocals but melodies also good. The sound, emotions and the mood are also on the high level.
I especially note tracks: Brief Is the Light, Cross My Heart and Hope to Die, You Are the One. Stuck in my head forever.
My recommendation.
