Noticed that I haven't written yet about Moonsorrow - one of the best viking metal bands. So, here's the pick from the library.
Viking metal with a bit of black and folk flavor. Overall, just great release (like many other of theirs).
Epic and gorgeous, tragic and hopeful, fun and beautiful. Big variety of emotions and impressions here.
I adore those simple catchy folk melodies wrapped in pumping riffs. Epic and aggressive breakdowns are also very well fitted.
Very good composition and track development, most of the parts are easily memorable from the first listening.
Clean vocals are also worth noting. And harsh vocals and background keys do their job well too.
Every track is gold (including the bonus one - that's why I'm linking an reissue).
Brings me so much joy. Forever love.
