If memory serves Bal-Sagoth is one of the first syphonic metal bands in my library (Apocalyptica aside).
And it is an incredible piece of art! Complex but easy listening, good flow, and great composition.
It is mostly symphonic, black is just for atmosphere and flavor but still worth to be put into a genre.
Every track tells a story. Varied and engaging.
Cathy supporting riffs, awesome melodies, and solos, great job with symphonic keys.
Through the years I think I've found nothing like that. Maybe for the good. My recommendation.
